Hi folks:

CWF Education is launching many exciting new initiatives for all grades, all subjects and all ages. Here are some highlights of upcoming projects and links to current events and recent accomplishments.

Nominate CWF as Your Favorite Charity:
This Thanksgiving Yahoo! Canada is donating $10,000 to a Canadian charity through its You in? Facebook campaign. Please nominate CWF TODAY in the categories of Education, Environment & Animals or even Health. Following the nomination process, Yahoo! Canada will be asking the public to perform a random act of kindness and dedicate it to their charity. The charity with the most entries will be awarded the $10,000 prize so encourage your friends and family to nominate CWF too. Our education programs are entirely funded by donations, so your support is most appreciated.

Celebrate International Year of Forests:
The CWF Learning Poster Program has been drawn to the United Nations 2011 campaign for the International Year of Forests as the inspiration for its next colourful production. Award-winning children’s book creator Wallace Edwards is designing a lovely image of a red fox in the boreal forest, with hidden creature shapes in the landscape. This new poster will complement the biodiversity series Edwards designed for CWF in 2010. Stay tuned for the release of this wonderful new educational product and start planting the seeds of your celebration for the International Year of Forests.

Watch for the unveiling of our Habitat 2020 program:
The Habitat 2000 program, featuring the successful Wild and Blue School projects, is being transformed into Habitat 2020. CWF Education thanks all the schools across Canada working with us to inspire youth to conserve our natural world through responsible stewardship. Stay tuned for the launch of this updated and popular program.
