Bring the whole family to the Muskoka Turtle Blitz!

Here’s a chance for you to act like a scientist for a day, catching and identifying native turtles, reptiles and amphibians! It’s all part of the July 16, 2022 Muskoka Turtle Blitz!

Our partners at Scales Nature Park will be on hand with the Saving Turtles At Risk Today (S.T.A.R.T) team, guiding you as we collect, inventory and identify as many of these native turtles, frogs and reptiles as we can find. It’s a fun, family event that allows you to help us gather important scientific information on these local species.

It’s entirely free to participate. All we ask is you come prepared to meet some very interesting creatures! Here’s what you need to know:
