Become a Great Canadian Turtle Tracker

The Great Canadian Turtle Race is on now and we want you to join us in this amazing learning opportunity! Check out our co-ordinating educational resources and sign your class up to take part in a project to determine which of the ten turtles is most likely to reach their nesting grounds! Using our online resources including tracking journals, scientific guidelines and expert advice, have your students hypothesize which turtles will make it to their nesting grounds, then submit predictions to us. Each learner who takes part will get a ‘Turtle Tracker’ certificate of participation! Find out more info and see all the resources online.

Join the CWF Africa to Americas Expedition

CWF invites you to come on board for our incredible trans-Atlantic rowing expedition from Dakar, Senegal to Miami, Florida. The OAR Northwest rowers are leaving West African shores around January 7, 2013 and are hoping to reach North American shores by World Water Day, March 22. This is an incredible opportunity to follow the expedition by GPS tracker, study the daily data stats, incorporate CWF ocean education curricula and log your own wild adventures with CWF. What inspires you?

CWF and Ten Tree Apparel’s Inspire video has generated more than 250,000 views on YouTube. If you haven’t watched it yet, please check it out and share with your students and colleagues. Ten Tree is a new apparel company that was inspired by nature. The company plants 10 trees for every item of clothing purchased. CWF congratulates the young entrepreneurs for embedding conservation in their business plan. CWF and Ten Tree Apparel are working on more videos for the new year, and CWF can’t wait to see what inspires educators to enjoy the outdoors with students. We are developing an interactive process for sharing inspire stories.
